The Sunshine Home Fundraiser
Mark and John's Story
John was three years old when his father sadly passed away. In need of support to care for John and his three brothers, his mother reached out to the Sunshine Children's Home. This action changed the direction of John's life. With God, there are no coincidences - whether in the case of John coming to Sunshine, or many years later, when Mark became John’s professional mentor, where he learnt about Sunshine. This story is coming full circle, with Mark and John now seeking ways to give back to the place which supported John to become the leader he is today. You can read the story of Mark and John here - an inspiration to Asian Aid and the broader community who celebrate their story.
Your Support Helps
The mission of the Sunshine Children's Home is to provide care for at-risk and orphaned children from the local community and surrounds. Since its establishment in 1984, the home has ensured the holistic development of children, through access to education and essential support through home-based services. Your donations will ensure the development and refurbishment of infrastructure in need of urgent repair at the Sunshine Children's Home. Phase I of the project will see the complete renovation of the existing facilities and equipment upgrades to the on-site kitchen. If fundraising allows, Phase II will ensure the construction of a new dining/multi-purpose hall.
